Stradic CI4+ 1000 binding up/randomly gets hard to reel

I have a handful of these for crappie fishing and yesterday one started getting hard to reel. It was 28 degrees so I thought maybe it was freezing but it kept doing it even after it warmed up into the 40s. Some times it reels free then all of a sudden get hard to reel. I had an issue way back in the day with old white Stradics and there was a washer that people would remove and free up the old ones....anyway, and recommendation on where/what to look at? Thinking it may be an easy fix. For what its worth, this reels has been the loudest and sounds like the "driest" of the 3, since I bought it...

It could be several different issues. I suggest sending it in for repair. It could be a friction ring, it could be a bearing, it could be a slightly bent spool shaft, it could be in the oscillation.
