Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
This is probably a big shot in the dark, but I'm trying to find a BTN4010 to replace the worm gear on one of my Chronarch 100D7s.
I thought I had stocked up on some...turns out they're for the Curado 200E7 and way too long.

Try Southwestern Parts & Service in Dallas, TX or Coastline in North Carolina. BNT3822 can be used, the material and coating is slightly different but it will fit and work.

Thanks so much for this!
Would you happen to know the anti-reverse bearing part number? I'd like to grab up as many replacement parts as I can to keep these reels going!

10F5C is the part number for the AR bearing. We have them in stock.

Thank you so much! Just ordered some of those as well!
Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
So I received BNT3822 and they are very similar, but it does not fit correctly. I ended up grinding and filing down some of the shaft and was able to use some washers to get a good fit and get it to work. Unfortunately, I cut off too much so it does spool a little heavier on one side but it’s serviceable.

Where did you grind/cut the wormshaft? It should have been a direct swap. It's possible the replacement you received was not marked correctly and for a different reel.
Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
I had to remove some metal off the end of the teeth towards the non-handle side.
I did order BNT4010–I’m not sure what the difference is, but I was able to find that part number from the Chronarch Ci4, which I heard was the same as BTN4010.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
There should be one end with a groove for the c or e clip and the other end has a "T" for the idle gear to attach. A spacer can be added under the idle gear to help space the wormshaft if it needs adjustment. The Chronarch D should have had one spacer, maybe 2 at most. If the line is stacking towards the handle side, you can remove a spacer. If it's on the left you will need to add a spacer.
Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
The issue was that the E clip side was too short to fit through the non-handle side plate side. You could see that the worm gear teeth did not extend past 3/4 to 4/5 of the spool; so the line would just bunch up on only 3/4 of the spool--it wasn't able to travel the whole length of the front/top plate.
I ended up taking about 2.5 mm off and was able to slide it in and get it to fit and rotate correctly, but I took a hair too much off so the line guide travels to the left about a MM further than it should.
In the end...it works, but it's not perfect.
I do have some other worm gears on order that should be here next week hopefully--we'll see if these are the correct fitment.
