So I finally caught my first swimbait fish today on the triple trout. Not what I expected though as I landed a 1.5lb channel catfish ha ha.

Nice, ,my buddy and I went out today and caught a 4 and 6lb chan cat on a shakey head worm.. :? We also caught 20 or more bass as well. I tried to throw a MAtts BG today, but nothing. I think I need to get some baby bass and try them out. 8-)

I haven't even sniffed anywhere near 20 bass these days. I'm in a total rut.

Only had 4 keepers and the rest were dinks, but the Cats were fun to catch on 4lb MB AM style. It was also 101 today.. :barf:

My first swimbait fish was also a cattie. This one went 10# 4 ozs. and was caught on a Matt Lures Baby Bass.

LOL, I wish. Actually, I figured out it wasn't a bass pretty quickly. I was fishing a small farm pond I have access to and while it is loaded with 1.5 -2 pound bass I don't think there is anything big in there. That, combined with the fact that I've caught some decent catties there before (probably the same fish) while fishing for bass I pretty much knew. Of course, I did hope to see a swimming watermelon on the end of my line but alas, it was mr. whiskers.
