Re: **Had me a Lando Calrissian moment this afternoon**
So these little resin nuggets are sweet. The billed version is pretty nice, it has a little bit of a gangster lean on a higher speed retrieve, now I am using my 7.3 geared 18' ZHD and 18' WP for this back yard testing. At a crawl it is pretty dope as it has a nice little Audible nock2it. She will crank down about 6-8", nice lottle waker! I think the both of these are right around an ounce and a half or less I think for the both of them. The non billed version is what you would expect a nice little spots thrower to Twitch and bob and you can get a little walk on it but it's hard to get in the backyard pool going decent enough in that manner. Fernando has a lot of fun little details in these Bates obviously I'll probably change up the hooks and dress him up myself and I feel like the hooks just a little too big on these but all in all I'm super please on all the offerings I picked up from his brand. These two will probably be the last base I'll get for a while I'll try to focus on catching them now.
I will get back eventually on notes on the Cookai. I have a 68 special with blue 50 lb Pro super slick and a Ryoga 1520HL on it to start my field trials

Re: **Had me a Lando Calrissian moment this afternoon**
Some quick notes and some more in depth pictures with Eastern 0900 sunshine.
This rod is pretty dope I feel like it's very much complementary to the 7'11" XH VWE 4pc. I really like the case that it comes in it's pretty sturdy which is nice so you don't necessarily need an additional container to take it around or traveling or doing whatever you're doing with it. Fit form and finishes right on par with megabass in general. This probably will see extensive Duty as my 68 special rod. Although for testing purposes I'll probably get some treble hooks on it but that probably won't be for a while as I am really liking the valkyrie 4 piece right now as my all treble rod. To be honest I feel like both these rods are very much interchangeable they both look sexy as hell. the Cookai to me feels pretty darn light I believe that's due to its latest Destroyer Heritage and build characteristics but applicable for saltwater purposes for my understanding but you know me using something for something else I like the colors it has a little bit of that purple hyuga thing going in the wraps for the guides along with the alternate wrap color. She balance is really nice with the Ryoga just a little above the winding check. Hopefully during my kids spring break I'll be able to get out and actually get some field tests on this thing and let you know how she throws out in Open Water. Winter still trying to hang on here it gets nice but windy and in the mornings are still fairly chilly for me anyway.

Some shots to show handle similarities/differences between the VWE 7'11" XH 4pc and Destroyer Cookai 7'10" XH 2pc as well as VWE shorties. Ignore the non power player rig in the left back corner

Re: **Had me a Lando Calrissian moment this afternoon**
Some decisions to make in TWs for an upcoming Lake Mary trip to hunt for pike mainly and hopefully some interested walleyes Bringing the VWE 7'11" XH 4pc and the Triza Dragoon(if it's not too crazy and windy, the hope is to get out on a yak as well as Shore Duty it's been awhile since I've been up there to fish).....the first of hopefully many fruitful trips

Re: **Had me a Lando Calrissian moment this afternoon**
No players chucked 5" spark shad quite a bit yesterday. No takers looks like I was really early In Anycase a super rad trip with the family so far for spring break
we hiked walnut canyon today with the kiddos, damn I am out of shape need more cardio
Notes: hell of windy still on lake mary too windy for me in the yak, the zillion 10 and triza Dragoon is the t*ts for throwing into the wind without fear of a birds nest.
Still rocking board short like a pro

Re: **Had me a Lando Calrissian moment this afternoon**
Well along with inconsistent often windy conditions plus golden algae in three of our major reservoirs making angling sucktastic
Re: **Hand me a Lando Calrissian moment this afternoon**
We have the same rods. I've thrown the 72H Hyuga a lot but just getting into the Super Destroyer. They seem more similar than I I thought. Both seem happy around 2 oz with the Hyuga out of gas at 2.7 oz and the SD able to handle it a bit better but beyond 3 seems a bit much for it. I kind of like to stay under 3 oz like the hyuga and let the SD and Z200 be my long casting rig and the Hyuga and purpled out Tatula 150 HD Custom be my kayak and target casting rig. I also have the XXH 7'6" Valkyrie but haven't thrown it yet to see where it fits in. I'm thinking up to 2.5 with the Hyuga, up to a little over 3 with the SD and up to 3.75 with the Valk. Outside of big baits the Hyuga is used for big frogs and single hook moving baits, the SD for mag deep cranks maybe and the Valk for punching with a spool swap to braid and the handle colapsed. That's the plan anywanys. Been throwing Chibi Gantarels and Vatalions on the Hyuga and getting bit.Cristo wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 10:18 amokay a little catch-up been pretty busy with family and other things past few days but managed to get out a little bit this past Thursday the 2nd of May another typical quick grind for me for about two plus hours focused mainly around the fisherman's cave area of saggy did a lot of work with the triple trout as usual I really want to connect with that bait hopefully soon also threw a long the 6-inch STC offering threw that for about 1/3 the last part of my trip of ,course I didn't connect with any fish water still pretty stained seeing lots of dying Shad lots of small small schools of them huddling close to shallow shorelines had a decent Breeze coming from the West a little bit real beautiful day out course want to say thanks to Triple-T and Brian in particular for squaring me away with some additional STC backups in 6 in old smokey and new to my experience the 8" version in trout colorway. As you can see I've rigged it with a 12 Beast hook and Big GZ 8" for comparison. It is going to be a nice profile to throw this season super psyched I really think the 6"
is super super slick. Of course rigging Plastics of this size requires a little bit of patience at least for me anyways in order to not beat the bait up too much but I'll have to say STC formula is on point with these as it's a tough tough plastic thus far as proving in the 6 in for my testing. Side note mend it glue obviously to those in the know is your friend and I tell you what you got yourself a real nice swimbait for lower cost than most companies in my opinion at least so this season should be pretty good I think I've got my "thunk box" is getting fairly tuned for my season. I am still waiting on in 7-inch homicide Glide what should be here by tomorrow I'd imagine anyway just dropping in to say what's up hope everyone had a great weekend also want to add a note that the bald eagles around saggy seem to be nesting a little further east than Sunset Ridge they are quite a sight to behold and hear when they call out, super rad to see and watch them grab fish, way better Anglers than I could ever hope to be

Re: **Had me a Lando Calrissian moment this afternoon**
Nevermind you have the 8 foot Hyuga. The 72H rated up to 4 oz with a realistic upper limit near 3 bends and sends a 2.7 oz Livingston glide as well as my 7'8" Super Destruction but you can tell you are right at the upper sweet spot. The two are very similar with the Hyuga being like a shorty SD and a smidge lower in power but a similar tip if that makes sense. Hell of a kayak big bait stick. Tackleberry has some used ones if you want to nab one. Current exchange rate is good.

My newest big bait.
