a new fly rod for MR. Quantum

Post by quantum angler nt » Tue Apr 06, 2004 9:47 am

Hi guys,

Just wanted to get your input on a GL2 G. Lommis Rod combo from cabelas. I am wondering whether I should get the 8 wt or the 6 wt.
for bass fishing and trout fishing. I don't want to buy two separate rods I
just want to know which would be best for both bass and trout. I am hoping I can get by with a 6 wt. (8 wt. is a little too heavy). What do you think?

With most Fly Rods you can go up or down at least 1 size/Weight in the line. I have a St Croix 5wt and go down to 4 and up to 6 with 2 extra spools.
