without a doubt Rio Selective Trout. Easy casting, durable, great coating, lands softly, supple no major memory, great taper, roll casts beautifully, shoots like a dream, doesnt need to be treated, just cleaned. I have not one negative for it. I have tried them all, this is my fav

Re: Trout Line
no prob, get the camo green color too, doesnt flash bright to the fish, and surprising visible to the angler when on the water

Re: Trout Line
Assuming Eastern trout, a 5wt weight forward line is really good. I prefer Scientific Anglers products because they work well in cold weather. They're also readily available in my area.
Dizbass: Thanks for putting that Rio on my radar screen. I just bought some of their leaders but haven't tried them yet. I read that they are good too.

Re: Trout Line
try the rio, you may never use SA again, the rio is far better in cold water/cold climate.
