problem with customs

has anybody had issue with customs holding a package up. I have never had an issue when it comes through chicago,but I have a package that is still in customs in new york since last sat the 11.

Ditto with New York. I had something in customs on the 12th. Just left yesterday.

Chicago is typically one day.
