Though I don't like the company for most of it's lures, Strike King makes good sunglasses for really cheap. I have the blue, amber, and yellow lenses; each having their own use. Blue for bright sunny days with clear water, amber cloudy days with colored water, and yellow for dawn/dusk settings. I have been very happy with them. Are they the same as my $300 Hobie, no but for the price difference, I would say the most expensive are not worth it. Plus if I lose/break the Strike Kings I don't have to sell another body part to get another pair.

I like grays for general purpose work and yellows for low light.

As far as cheap - I need prescription lenses so I don't have that option.

Costa make decent sunglasses if you stick with 580 real glass lenses. Green for lakes and Blue for the ocean.

Thick 1.1mm brown lenses for sunny days. If the lenses are thinner - gray.

Yellow for fog and rain.

Here is a good guide:

Amber or copper color is much better than gray for sight fishing, IMO. The silver mirror 580 Costas have a copper lens color and they are great as are the green mirror amber base 580's.

I tried Oakley polarized with contact lenses and prescription polarized sunglasses and found the prescriptions worked better. If you wear eyeglasses, get polarized prescriptions and you'll love it. I put the lenses in Oakley frames and they work terrific. Stay on tight, cover my eyes and filter out unwanted light from the sides. Plus- I have a big head so finding regular sunglasses is not easy. 8-)

Do you find the silver mirror to be suitable for low light? I have the green mirror and amber lenses (580) and was wondering if the silver mirror let in more light?

Yea, the silver mirror/copper lens is not as dark as the green mirror/amber lenses. They seem to work really well on cloudy or lower light level times of day.
