My favorite way to get expensive lures back is Tackle Warehouse !

I hear you on those trotlines, been hung up several times on them, the worst ones are the ones tied off below the waterline that you don't see until you get hung on them.

I came up with a solution for that, I fixed a release knife (a cheap copy actually that has a wider cutting area) to the other end of my retriever pole to be able to cut fishing line and "ghost pot" crab pot mesh and bouy lines with, works really well.
