Anyone know why PayPal taxes you when you send money in yen? Costs around $10 more going thru PayPal

do you mean the exchange currency fee? that's normal for Paypal, they discuss it in the help section i beleive

Fee not specific to PP, foreign currency exchange is not free be it the bank, PP or the Post Office.
