ICast 2013
Compared to the last couple of years, ICast 2013 really had some nice stuff introduced. Appears to be something very nice at every price point. A welcome change for sure. Amazing selection of new rods that look excellent too.
I want to get my mitts on the new Ci4 Chronie and see how it palms compared to The Core50/Scorpion XT1000. If it it's close (and looking at the pictures where it's being held), It doesn't look to be any bigger in hand than a Steez (or even the old CH50MG), I'm going to grab one. I have no doubt that it will be a great performer.
The entry and mid level choices are now outstanding. So nice to see some entry and mid level stuff edging into the top tier performance area. Certainly a consumers delight.

Agreed.
Solid selection of rods/reels. I am looking forward to the X7's and Tatula rods/reels. My father is in dire need of upgrading his arsenal and gave a solid not interested when I tried getting him to invest in Megabass. I am thinking if the Tatulas are really as solid as the seam except the guides, then they should easily upgrade his old rods. I am also interesed in the US Morrum and the Koppers bait ball cranks.

I like the new NRX Inshore rods and I'd really like one! Price wise..., I may not be mentally prepared just yet
Great stuff if TW brings in some of those new reel custom parts I've seen pictures of, and I really want to know more about that flashy red reel TT showed on Facebook. Looks like something I'd buy if it's high-end.

X7's certainly won't be inexpensive.
So many decently priced rods, it's really a buyer market. The new Denali's look good, Tatula, and a few others certainly caught my eye. I'm solidly in 13Fishing rod camp for value and performance. I have four of them now and only wish these were available a few years ago. I could have saved myself thousands$ buying the $400-$700 JDMs. The Omen is a great rod for the money. The Envy is outstanding even when compared to some of the top tier (cost 2-3x as much) stuff for sheer performance and fish-ability. IMO

That flashy red reel is only high end if you consider $35 a lot of money....SWH wrote:I like the new NRX Inshore rods and I'd really like one! Price wise..., I may not be mentally prepared just yet

Who on earth came up with the name Tatula? I find the reel awesome and surely I'll buy one soon and more if it meets my expectations. But just the name is almost a turn off. There's gotta be more T words out there...
