Hi All,
I am seeking opinions on a dropshot rod/reel setup. Currently I am using a diawa bg2500 paired with a dobyns fury 703 rod.

Over the last year, I find myself spending more and more time fishing the drop shot. So i want to invest in a quality rod/reel specifically for the technique.

Ideally, I want to keep the price under $500 for the combo.

I have my eyes on the Megabass whipsnake paired with a shimano stradic ci4. But I am open to any and all suggestions.

I just picked up the Megabass Addermine and from the initial time having it in my hands I feel it will be a fantastic drop shot rod. I feel it will do some other techniques well. I'd look at one if I were you.
