For the guys catching em on the sleeper how are y'all fishing them? Like a jig? I bought a couple that have just been sitting on the wall unopened. Maybe i should start throwing em

I throw them in 20fow and will get bit on the fall quite often. If it makes it to the bottom Ill hop it at times or slow roll on the bottom.bronzebacks wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 4:13 pmFor the guys catching em on the sleeper how are y'all fishing them? Like a jig? Re: MB Dark Sleeper
Fished this bait a few days now. It has caught about 5-6 fish on it. Here are some thoughts:
-eyes and finish are still intack 95%
- only a small tear in the bait about 1/10 of an inch
- casts well
- the tail moves rapidly even at slower retrieve speeds
- can be fished like a jig and craw or refugees at a slow steady retrieve like a swimbait
- love having the top fun provide a weedguard for the hook
Overall I am impressed. Will be ordering more baits and mor sizes over the winter

Re: MB Dark Sleeper
Do all sizes swim well?
The sad thing is before these became popular I ordered a reel from Japan lure shop and they gifted me one with my
reel, I thought the damn thing looked dumb and gave it to my daughter because she thought it was cute LOL, now we
can't find it....
If I remember right it was in like 2016

Re: MB Dark Sleeper
I would imagine they do. And it is probably because of the plastic they use. My only concern would possibly be the 1/4 oz wanting to roll since it is lighter but I would be willing to bet it swims fine. I think the design on them was excellent.

If you need some help getting some I might be able to pick up some. My local stores and even Bass Pro have plenty.

Re: MB Dark Sleeper
All sizes work for us as you can see in the pics above. However, the 3" 3/8 oz in HanaHaze and Wakasagi produce bigger fish. It is all my son fishes now until he gets them hung up and runs out. They are not cheap but did the math... it's about 42 cents a catch at the rate he is going. I keep a stash in the drawer and if his grades are good on the weekly review, he gets another.
I was surprised that even after this cold snap rolled in for a week, they still hit it pretty good. They day before it hit though, he caught close to 30, mostly on DS.

Used it for the first time early this spring. My new fav bedding lure.
