Issues with Tackle Warehouse
Re: Issues with Tackle Warehouse
I ordered some of the newer owner weedless wacky and neko hooks, along with the new wide gap football finesse heads. Said they would be in stock around February. One day I checked the site and it said June 22. They had already refunded that portion of my order and followed up with a call to ask if I still wanted them drawn out once in stock. Good service to me, a little slow to ask/let me know, but still got it done.
As someone else said, I avoid ordering ANYTHING on back order. I am sure people have been successful doing it and some have good experiences with it, but I personally stay away from the potential back order mess.

TW lists dates for when out of stock items will be available based upon what the manufacturer tells them (as nearly every site). Yeah, that leads to disappointment when that date gets pushed back.
I too don't order items that are out of stock due to this (especially for new items that will often have very optimistic available dates). Instead, you can click the item and it will email you when it's back in stock.

Must of been a glitch in the matrix.. The tracking number was printed friday, not listed as being dropped at the facility until today, and going to be here on time tomorrow. Lol.

Re: Issues with Tackle Warehouse
It appears that sales tax is now charged for out of state orders. This is new, correct?
Also, the overnight $10 option seems to be gone...only $5 for two day, and then a big jump for overnight.

In the past, when I had an item delivered a day late, I emailed Tacklewarehouse, and they made it right.

I'm not mad, just noticed the difference between now and years past for my experience. I generally pay the 2 day shipping when I want something before a tournament or a trip I have planned, so I know it will arrive on time. I do think that customer service in this day and age leaves something to be desired. I'm not worried about $5 and after the fact customer service which only further proves my point.mark poulson wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 6:49 pmIn the past, when I had an item delivered a day late, I emailed Tacklewarehouse, and they made it right.

Depends on the state. Some states don't have state tax on online orders, others do.

I placed an order last night (Tuesday 5/14) and it's not shipping until Friday the 17th. WTF is going on with TW? 2 full business days to package an order for 1 shirt and 2 bags of plastics? I think this will be my last order with them if this is what they've come to now.

Happy to report that I got the shipping notification at the end of the business day yesterday. Still, it's a bit concerning and I may look to go elsewhere in the future.jerkbait22 wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 5:52 pmI placed an order last night (Tuesday 5/14) and it's not shipping until Friday the 17th. Re: Issues with Tackle Warehouse
backorder = no real timeline especially when ordering higher end gear. TW gets in line with the rest of the other 100's of online retailers for manufactures to ship.

Re: Issues with Tackle Warehouse
My frustrations are mounting with TW as well. Always pay for 2-day shipping and can’t remember the last time I actually got my stuff in 2 days. Also, these holiday sales they have lately leave them completely wiped out of everything I want. Not trying to whine but never used to be this feeding frenzy for 15% off in years past. Obviously the sport has grown and neon colored rods and reels from china have attracted new anglers, but if business is booming like that, they should employ more people and stop with the backlogs and excuses.
That’s my old man rant for the day.
Fwiw tackle trap has stolen my business a couple times lately and I’m really liking their site and service.
