A few days ago I had a pulled a muskie close to the boat and was holding onto the line and set my rod down thinking
he was done, well he took off and the line cut right through my skin to the bone

Glad it was thin or I would be getting stitches....but damn did it hurt.

Is it bad that when I read this, all I could think about was how big was your musky?

I just use a net now...I've had enough fish tooth damage on thumbs and hands. Yes, I don't ever jaw grab catfish anymore. The damage to the back of the hand is still damage. I definitely should invest in some lip grabbers.
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish

You guys need to come fish in the salt. Everything has teeth and lots of spines, and some of them will really light you up so you won’t have to worry about those rashed up fingers anymore

New skin is what I use. If you don’t have that handy super glue works great but I’m not sure if it’s good to be puttin it on open cuts all the time but works in a pinch
