I decided to give the U/A-rig a shot for big European perch. Will try casting and trolling the Geecrack Merry-G FX Jr.

Has anyone tried using the rig with lures other than soft plastics?
I imagine that small inline spinners or small spoons can be deadly?

Folks have been using something similar here on the Great Lakes for years trolling for lake trout and salmon.
