Sandals
Can anyone recommend some sandals for fishing that are soft and cushioned? I have Teva's that are several years old; and, they are not the softest foot ware. Perhaps, it's just the style I have. Recommendations would be appreciated.
Re: Sandals
I wear flip flops most of the time and really like Olukai. I have several pairs.

Went through a pair in about 2 years and I put them through the works. River/creek wading, hiking, pond fishing, fishing from a boat and never had any issues. Might not work if you have a wide foot as the material could rub on the side of your foot and make it tender.

None... but they are the most comfortable sandals available. I discovered them while on vacation with the family in Hawaii a few years ago. Expensive, but entirely worth it. They will spoil you for regular shoes even.Gone Phishin wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 9:51 am
Any idea on how their sizing compares to that of Simms' sandals?

I have used Crocs last 6 months in fishing and basically in everywhere. Soft and comfortable.

Re: Sandals
Flip flops are what I wear most.
Reef Cushion Lux, these are the most cushioned flip flops ever and extremely comfortable.
I also have some Keen sandals that are made in the USA and they are very comfortable and
excellent made.
But the most waterproof I have found are my crocs.

I'm going to have to check them out. Cold weather is just around the corner here, but I wear sandals and socks (gasp) indoors during those months...my feet sweat too dang much in slippers.Cal wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 10:11 amNone... but they are the most comfortable sandals available. Re: Sandals
Keen would be my choice as well, i have had mine for 5 years and just broke one of the straps. Simms used to make some that were good but the newones aren't as durable.
Re: Sandals
The sizing is similar between the two brands, I wear the same size in both.

Re: Sandals
As others have said you can't go wrong with Olukai if you don't mind switching to flip flops. Kinda pricey, but even the low end model have a nice eva footbed that holds up well, the straps/ thong stay in place, and they have a fair amount of tread on the bottom for when you're walking the banks. I'm currently breaking in a pair of Rainbows with the double cushion and they are super comfy, not sure if they'd be great for fishing since the footbed is somewhat slick.
just hotdogin it

Jordan shower slides... Cushiony, grippy and doesn't hold water
