I'm interested to see where they go with it after these two initial rods. It looks like it could be cool, and the concept of it makes sense logically that it would increase sensitivity. But, I'm not interested in the specs of the two rods that they decided to debut, and according to TW's coverage of it, they're only releasing 1500 each of the casting and spinning models; based on where I live it's probably unlikely that one ever gets to a local shop for me to check out anyways. I'm sure others are more interested in the specs enough to just order online, I just don't personally need a casting rod for the time being, and I like my spinning rods under 7'. Also a bit disappointing that a $450 rod doesn't use Torzite guides; I know the thinner SiC guides they're using are still high end and light, but for $450 I would expect the best of the best components. Will be interesting to see the weight of the rods as well.

Regardless of my thoughts on this initial release, I hope that they continue to expand the line with more spec options and overall quantities so that I have a chance to actually see them in my local shops in some specs that I would actually be interested in using.

Saw 1 review on TWH:

Comments: "I preordered this rod. I received number 42. I have to say they are super disappointing. The fur and finish is the same or worse than any old $99 rod. Weight and sensitivity are nothing special. My shimano explode rods are better and for 1/2 the price. My advice... to run from this rod for the money."

Autocorrect got him

One of the most overlooked aspects is the fur and finish
