Dobyns 704CB vs 705CB
Trying to figure out which rod would be better for Staysee 90 v3s and Pointer 100s. Appreciate feedback.

Probably the 705CB. I haven't used either but the 704CB Glass I have is a little too soft of the quick jerks I sometimes use.

I got the 705CB graphite, and it's the one I'd go with.
Gunna be throwing ALOT of Staysee 90's, & Pointer 100's with it up on Erie this season with it, along with a 764CB RM

Re: Dobyns 704CB vs 705CB
It will come down to a matter of personal preference. I think that either rod will work. I think that the Staysee 90 might work slightly better on the 704CB. Conversely, I think the Pointer 100 works better on the 705CB. I think cranks, especially ripbaits, work better with certain rods (tip stiffness/power). Having said that, I also think that most of us, to a certain degree, have to compromise because we can not own/carry/fish the exact rod we'd like to for every single technique or variation.
For me, I was using the 705CB with both those lures. Part of my 'compromise' was having two of the same rod for cranking. I wanted the lure to be the variable, which might change the feel, not the rods. So for the lures I usually throw & the locations that I fish most of the time, the 705CB was the best choice.

I have the 705CB glass. I love it for cranks, and spinners! Handles a wide range of lures too.
