Cumara 7'2" med/hvy Xfast, do you have one and.
I have two of these rods,, I use one exclusively for c-rigs
The other I am trying to figure out just what? I have a chronarch D on it (pearl ).
I have some braid on it now for toads but other than that not really sure what to do with it. Any of you guys use yours for frogs? I am curious as to how versitile this rod can be? Thank you in advance.

I have this rod.. It's the only Cumara I own, but it seems to be a very versitile rod. I have thrown frogs on it, but where it really seemed to shine is with the Horney toad or Ribbit type frogs. I also frequently throw Skinny dippers with this rod. It has a Steez 103 or Zillion SHS mounted depending on what I plan to use etc.. It's a very versitile stick, and I think it falls right in the middle of what is sometimes called an All Purpose Rod.. You can do just about anything with it. Spinnerbait, Buzzbaits, Frogs, Tx rigging, Jigs, larger topwaters, etc etc... About the only thing it wouldn't be good for is crankbait fishing... It's a good rod..

I have it and use it for all my jigs and heavier t-rigs, I haven't ventured out much further than that.

I tried mine for frogs and toads, but I didn't think it had a soft enough tip for those applications. I use mine for pitching jigs into brush and heavy weedbeds. I don't fish Carolina rigs, but think it would be ideal for that application. I certainly don't find it to be a versitile rod.

X2. Love this rod for anything bouncing on the bottom - worms, jigs, Caroling rig.capesmallie wrote:It is a great football jig rod

Pmedi nailed it on the head. This rod can do everything except cranks. I'll try cranks just to see how it does -Pmedicbm wrote:I have this rod.. very versitile rod, however i use mine for all jig work. throw a lot of football, casting and finesse jigs and its sweet. i used it with a bps carbon lite last year and this year i bought a smoke to use on it. sweet, liteweight and super sensitive rod

I dont have the EX FAST tip but my 7'2" FAST tips has thrown Jigs, spinnerbaits, jerk baits ,t rigs, weightless senkos and more and has done a great job with all. The EX FAST tip may be a little less versitile, but still could do alot.
I would stick with a bottom contact technique.
