735C vs DX745
I purchased a 735C for toads, 1/2-3/4 oz swim jigs w/ EZ Shad trailers, mini shell crackers, possibly 5-6" paddle tails, but now I'm considering swapping it for the DX745. Would the DX745 work as well with these lures? The 735C is ideal with these lures - power, action, etc - which is why many anglers use it. The only reason I'm considering the DX745 is so that I could use it for 3/4 oz football jigs, jigs & soft plastics in heavier cover, and carolina rigs when I'm not using it for the other lures, however I do not want to sacrifice any of the 735C's qualities.

You already know how I feel about the rod. Since nobody else has responded yet....
Yes, the DX745 will work for all those techniques. IMO, it will work better. Are any swimbait rods out there that are xfast action? The DX745 being a fast action rod vs the 735 being xfast will actually benefit you when using those baits. First, it will let the fish eat the bait better. Second, it will keep the rod loaded better helping to keep the fished pinned.

Stuck this nice 4lber with the 745 and 20lb line as it had NO chance!
Caught a few nice fish on the rod today and it handled them just fine, flipping a LFT lures flipper...

Trey, you dog! Nice one. Also, nice PR shot of the Lambo TDZ.
How do you think the DX745 compares to the 735C for the reaction baits I mentioned? Worth the swap?

I think it would be just fine for reaction since its not an Xfast action.
Yea the lamb tdz handled it with ease!
Had to muscle the fish over a stump and tree limb..

HOW FUNNY - I just bought a reel from you and I will be sending it to Trey for the upgrades.
