Daiwa contact for rod warranty
Daiwa contact for rod warranty
Does anyone know a specific contact in the Daiwa services centre who I can contact directly?
I'm trying to warranty a Steez rod from overseas and want to get past the standard replies I've been getting (i.e. send the rod in).

Re: Daiwa contact for rod warranty
Thanks, but that's unfortunately who I spoke to.
The cost of sending a rod back to the states for warranty is extremely cost prohibitive.
I'm hoping to be able to convince a rep that it is a manufacturer's defect issue with 100000000 photos or whatever it takes.

What's wrong with the rod?
Just sent a Comp-x in last week.
It's on it's way back already. Been a smooth process so far.
Shipping sucks, but considering the price of a new rod..
Well, seemed like a small price to pay..

New rod, 7'1" heavy, ordered sight unseen from a dealer in Alabama.
Felt great, till I started casting it in the yard..
Was clicking and crunching when loaded.
Assumed it must've had a loose guide wrap.
