excellent all-around medium action spinning rod that simply excels at jerkbaits...especially, pointer 78's.

in my hands, the 1/8 oz. to 3/8 oz. lure rating is a bit low.

I use mine for finesse and or fishing small rivers for smallies. It is a good rod for light t-rigs, small senkos, jig head rigs, and topwaters. I have mine paired with a SS700 daiwa and 6lb line. Hope this helps. :D

Its my finesse Largemouth rod. Light jig/grub, jig/tube, jig/small plastic, weightless and lightly weighted soft jerks, small hard jerk baits.

Its a regular Smallmouth rod. All of the above tactics.

Its my Walleye jig rod when wind and waves and depth force me to fish a little heavier than I'd like.

Its a rod I wouldn't be without because it does so much for me.

(technically...I'm using a Shikari SHX with identical ratings to the Loomis...basically the same blank)
