POwell MAx 735 or Endurance 725. Both are real nice frog rods. The 725 has a fast Action tip vs. the Ex-Fast of the 735. both come in at 169.99.

+1

The Powell 764 Endurance is another good choice. The Endurance rods are about 1/2 to 3/4 of a power stonger and the tip on this rod really gives you great control on your casts.

Still using the good ole stand by, Powell 735C. I know it's not the best rod out there but it sure isn't the worst either so... I have a Citica E with 50# P-Line braid mounted on it and it fishes just fine to me for frogs and toads.

Check out Bobby's perfect frog rod by Falcon, I know it's listed at $250 but if you snoop around a little it can be found for considerably less. It's far and away the best frog rod I have ever had in my hands, not to mention punching, big football jigs and mega-carolina rigs. It is a long rod with a short handle(given it's length) so some may consider it tip heavy, I personally do not. I have owned frog rods from Powell(agreed tip heavy) Daiwa L&T(broke that rod TWICE and the reel seat literally broke in half) and the older Loomis frog rod(HATED it) also quantum's dean rojas( not so bad).Hope you enjoy whatever you choose.

Stay away from the Mojo Bass Sloppin Frog unless you want a broomstick with guides and a reel seat. I have better luck with my Daiwa S-Series 7'6H. I am considering the L&T 7'4 frog rod though. I haven't held it yet but have heard good things about it.

I use a couple of rods for Frogging. For tight quarters where accuracy is a must, I use the Powell 735C Frog Rod. When casting out across across expansive weed flats, I opt for the Powell 765 Flippin Stick. Although this year I will be making the switch from 765 to the 775 in the Endurance line for a little lighter stick and a better balanced rod as well. \:D/

Hello Everyone.

I am using a the Carbonlite by BPS in 7' MH... do you think this is a suitable frog rod or do I need to look at getting a different rod?

going to order a castaway 7ft 3 blank that has a huge following-the blank isnt bad(60.00) when I get it done I will post my experience with it.I love my bb796 rogue for stroking big joe's spoons and c-rigs,but I have to say I would think its a little soft for frogging slop-and way too exspensive now to order and cut down to 7ft3.
My only question to you is are you looking for a Sumo frog or spro frog rod? or do you want a Cane toad/horny toad stick?.......2 different frogs, and 2 differnt sticks.

Could not agree more. The marketed "frog rods" i have owned or tried (Powell, Kistler, Diawa) all were fine for toads but were far too stiff in the tip to me to get a good walk the frog action in the hollow body frogs. Right now I am actually using a Falcon Cara Reaction Series Mike Mclelland Jig rod as my frog rod. It has a nice loose tip but decent backbone. I hate the ECS or whatever reel seat on it, but I like the tip for working frogs. I am still looking for the perfect frog rod. I should try Rojas' Quantum rod, but I wish it were longer......

I have a Bobby's Perfect Frog Rod and I like it a lot. I use it for frogs, but also big topwater and punching. It was made for the Delta.
