best rod for throwing big ikas and fat ikas

If you want a great rod for this purpose I use big ika and fat ikas all the time and i found that the Falcon Cara Amistad
with micro guides is the best for me.
its a heavy action rod with a great tip and lots of backbone power try it I am sure you will be able to cast those 1/2 ounce fat ika a very long distance if that is what you are after.

medium fast action the best i think personally. any thing higher is just to stiff for casting making the ika slip out of the hook locking point thingy mejigy.

edit: i do only land fishing.. and i can cast pretty far with my nrx892c 7'1 medium ex-fast..before i used my 7ft ltb mh extra fast, thats when i learn that the medium heavy was not for me...... with the medium the rod actually flex and helps you cast better.. plus the help of the tip on the nrx

I'll add that an extra fast action rod would be better with plastics. You get better sensitivity plus a quicker penetration from those hooks. I prefer 4/0 Owner Wide Gap Plus hooks.
