go to the post office website, you can figure out exactly what it will cost to ship, put in the size of the tube and weight.

I recently shipped a 7' Zillion with USPS Priority for only $13.12 in a 4lb cardboard tube with bubble wrap from MN to CA. I did it all online and i think it cost more if you have them do it for you in the post orifice. I didn't do extra insurance because i was shipping a cheap rod and was for warranty. I normally use PC when selling a rod though and runs about $20-30.
