ordered the DX795, hope I don't get dinged badly @ customs..

u guys should be right about having a longer rod would be better for punching, besides, I have more than enough flipping sticks

You are going to absolutely love that rod. :D I've posted this before but.....IMO, the DX795 is just one of those rods that 'just feels right'.

BTW, I was cruising their website cuz my friend told me it looks different. Looks like they have some dealers in Canada now.

they do have dealers here, but I'm still going to order from the US because of cost

well, just received my DX795..

UPS charged me $65 in brokerage and taxes ($40 goes to UPS brokerage.... greedy bastards)

anyways.. this rod is LIGHT... for a 7'9 rod, I've never felt anything like it... it's light AND balanced... can't wait to put it on water..

I usually try to say under 7' for rods, but after the DX743, and now the DX795, I'm a firm believer in Dobyns..
