zillion rods H or XH?

Post by sampeidirei » Fri Sep 02, 2011 4:11 am

Hello, I fish on the beach of the lake, and do not know what 'best for jigs and Texas from 1 / 2 oz, zillion 7' H or XH?
I need a nice power in cover, grass and branches.
The 7 'H can' be enough?
I can do well with the XH frogs.
ciao

I fish jigs up to 1/2 oz on the 7'MH Zillion and anything heavier I switch to my 7'H and it works great. I know the MH would work as well it's just easier for me two rig the two rods the way I want. The MH and H have plenty have backbone so you shouldn't have a problem pulling fish from cover. Obviously the heavier the cover the tougher it can be.

That being said I use my MH alot more than my H.

thanks for your impressions, then for me it would be good to heavy action.
but the XH and extra powerful, and 'a rod of steel??

Yes....the heavy would work perfectly. The XH for me was way too stiff I think that rod would have worked best for flipping matted grass.
