I gotta say, it's not often I feel this inadequate. Thankfully, no one is measuring me by my meager collection

I have 6 spinning combos that my wife and I split, as well as 6 baticasters. I'm going to wait for someone to post a shorter list before I post mine :laugh1: :laugh1:

Hey, I started my collection off with a ugly stick and zebco. It has taken me years to aquire this many rods. As long as you enjoy what you have, that's what matters. My Bass Pro Crappie Max with pflueger presidential can be just as fun as any of my Megabass rods.

Ok, here's my list. You'll notice a lot of rods you haven't heard of. Up here north of the 49th parallel, Rapala and Quantum have rods and reels that aren't available state-side. Everything except the Veracity and Bionic Micro are 2 piece rods, which makes for a more comfortable ride in our Mazda 3 8-)

Spinning:

1. Quantum Pti 20 on Quantum Octane 6'6" (M) - weighted T-Rigs [20# 832 w/15# Berkley FC Leader]
2. Quantum Pti 20 on Quantum ReAx 6'6" (M) - weightless T-Rigs [20# 832 w/15# Berkley FC Leader]
3. Rapala Vapor on Strike 6'9" (M) - Inline Spinners, small CB's [15# S8S w/15# Berkley FC Leader]
4. Quantum Pti 20 on Berkley Lightning 7' (M) - Wacky Rigs [20# 832 w/15# Berkley FC Leader]
5. Shimano Sahara 2500 on Abu Garcia Veracity 7' (MF) - DS, Shakey Heads, Tubes [20# Sufix 832w/8# P-Line FC Leader]
6. Shimano Symetre 3000 on BPS Bionic Blade Micro 7' (MF) - Wacky Rigs, T-Rigs [15# S8S w/6# Berkley XL FC Leader]
7. Spare Quantum Spools: ??# PP w/ 15# FC Leader. 15# S8S w/8# FC XL Leader

Casting:
1. Daiwa Tatula on Rapala Sync (MH) 7'1" - Spinner/Chatter/Buzzbaits [40# Sufix832 w/16# Mono Leader]
2. BPS Carbonlite on Quantum NX24 (MH) 6'6" - Light Crank Baits [40# Sufix832 w/15# Berkley FC Leader]
3. Daiwa TD-Z 105 HL on BPS Tourney Special (M) 6'6"- Top Water Poppers [40# Sufix832 w/12# Sufix Siege Leader]
4. (Abu Garcia Revo LT on BPS Carbonlite (ML) (or custom) - Finesse Baits [Sunline Finesse FC 8# or Seaguar Tatsu FC 8# or Sufix 20# 832 w/8# FC leader]) <------ still on the shopping list but I have a birthday coming up :big grin:
5. Bionic Plus on Rapala Sync (spiral) (MH) 7'1" - Heavy Crank Baits [40# Sufix832 w/15# Berkley FC Leader]
6. Daiwa TD-X 103 HVLA on Bionic Blade (MH) 7' - Hard Body Top Waters [40# Sufix832 w/16# Mono Leader]

If anyone has a suggesting about tweaking the combinations at all, please feel free to let me know. This will be my first season with an actual arsenal of rods and reels to choose from and tweak as the season progresses.

OMG why braid and leader for every combo. I can barely stand my one baitcast reel with braid as is.

Simple economics, I can't afford to replace line at the beginning of each season but still like the inherent qualities of FC and mono so I use those as leaders. I am also new to baitcasters and since I still bird's nest more often than I'd like to, I'd rather just wrestle with some braid rather than cutting out $25 worth of FC line. That being said, I am toying with trying full spools of FC and mono on a couple of spinning reels this coming season.

Fishing is an outflow of money, not an income, so I need to keep the outflow in check every way possible.

For me as long as water is somewhat dingy braid is king. Sensitivity can't be beat as long as the line is taut; clear water situations I add leaders

Y such hate for braid?

Looks like a decent selection. I used to have a selection of bass pro rods before I upgraded them. I still have one 2 piece bionic rod.

I would imagine that I'll end up doing a little culling as the season goes on. For the amount of fishing I do, I really don't *need* this many combos. It's fun as heck putting them together though :big grin:

I'm guessing your braid is for frogs?

that is how I feel about mono.

I only own two combo's with mono - begrudgingly.

and no, neither are for bass.

Last count was in September and it was 53. This is the cheap-ish stuff, the better ones are locked up in the house.

My Frog and heavy cover combo is the same one, Super Stallion. It is because bass here aren't very big and i don't flip heavy often either. I pitch with Toray or Shooter and it is how i prefer it anyways.
