I had a 7'6" heavy casting. It was light balanced and sensitive but the grip has something to be desired. If it were a cork grip it would be a better rod.

All the ones that I've handled looked to be rather sloppily constructed. My main gripe was the extremely sloppy epoxy work and the unfinished look of the grips. There was epoxy slathered everywhere.

Any other comments?

Several things seem to pop up when I look for info on these. First there seems to be major QC issues. Also they seem to be rated much heavier than they are. However and most interesting despite those issues everyone seems to comment how sensitive these rods are.

Well I wrote to the company I wanted a 7' 6" flipping stick with a lure rating of 1/2 - 2 1/2 they are willing to make me one delivered for 200.00 but after these comments I don't know any other comments ?

Call Alex at ALX rods and he can put you in one for about that price. I have two of them and they are great rods! Very light! Tell him Trey Smith sent you. :big grin:

I have never heard of these rods so you are saying that they are a better deal than the Cushion rods?

I have seen them at my loCAL tackle store ...... but won't even pick any rod up with ACS reel seats, Alex at ALX rods is a super nice guy I think he will do a good job for you.
