Post by Shim_Dai_Ano_Wa » Sat Jan 19, 2013 1:37 am

I guess it's almost time to dump the Shimanoloomis rods and say hello to the real Gary north fork loomis rods?

Shimanoloomis is going have a fight. I wonder if this will make Shimanoloomis go back to honoring their limited life time warranty rods?

How about Kistler Z Bone NFC rods? I'm sticking with them until someone else impresses me. I've never owned a G Loomis and don't care if I ever do... they've traditionally done too many things with aesthetics and components that I can't stand.

If you want a Loomis, get a Zbone, the new Edge, or have a builder make a rod using an NFC blank.

St Croix seems to answer my needs pretty well... Made in America, excellent customer service, & top notch performance all in one package.

Or just use true Shimano rods.

North Fork for sure... my money goes to the Kistler Z bone as I really like the quick clean builds.

Own a few Zbones. And planning to add more. North Fork Composite blanks are every bit what it felt, performed, and looked like when I first held a GLX in my hands years ago. For those that do not own a rod made from Gary Loomis' new NFC Blanks, try these blanks. You will not regret it.

I'll either be using one of the NFC blanks for a build or buying an Edge or premade Z-Bone rod. No more ShimanoLoomis for me.

Not interested in the edge until it hits the shelves and I see some real reviews

And I'm a shimano fan so they get my vote for now

NFC all the way here. I never thought I would buy another Kistler product, but his new blanks are that good.

Great to see the option to get NFCs in completed factory rods from another company...and "directly" from Gary.
