Daiwa Tatula
Re: Daiwa Tatula
Daiwa still does not have these rods squared away on their website as of this morning. ,(ie 7-ML listed 3 times and 6-10 cast rod listed under spinning finnesse-dropshot)
There is a 6-10" dropshot casting rod (megatop)
Better description of what will be available is here:

Re: Daiwa Tatula
There in stock on tacklewarehouse, someone should get one soon and do a review! hehehe I would but I have never had a rod costing 150$ only 100$ rods so it probably would be amazing for me either way.

Re: Daiwa Tatula
So took a look at these on Tackle Warehouse's site and could some explain to me why the have 7'1" and 7'2" rods in the same power, and action. They are also rated for the same line weight and lure weight, have the same length handle and have the same number of guides? They just seem like they are too close to the same rod.....

Re: Daiwa Tatula
According to Daiwa, one is designated as a spinner bait rod, the other a crankbait rod. They did the same thing with the Ballistic.11kalnmitc wrote:So took a look at these on Tackle Warehouse's site and could some explain to me why the have 7'1" and 7'2" rods in the same power, and action. Re: Daiwa Tatula
@chode ...there are 2 of the 7-1 one in a regular/reaction and one in x-fast. Kalmatic is correct there are 2 exact same rods in the regular/reaction that are 7-1 and 7-2. I mentioned this erlier and thought it was tridculous to have 2 rods that do the same thing as far as action and only be separated by 1". I would have liked to see them make the 7-1" more like a M in a fast or x-tra fast and be similar to the Zillion action in a 1/8-5/8 lure weight. I am guessing that these are both full grip rods.Chode wrote:just take a look at the taper...a world a difference btwn a regular and extra fast11kalnmitc wrote:So took a look at these on Tackle Warehouse's site and could some explain to me why the have 7'1" and 7'2" rods in the same power, and action. Usually a rod ending in XB are split grip and HB are full grips. I could be wrong. But saw this designation on the first generation Procyon rods.

A 7'1 and 7'2 rod with exact same taper, line/lure weight. Look at Daiwas home page and it states the 7'1 is for cranking, the 7'2 for spinner baits. Almost every single rod on the market is labeled as technique specific anymore. It's just marketing fellas to sell more sticks. Can we move on now?

Re: Daiwa Tatula
No---let's not----Not every single rod is labeled as technique specific and I have scanned over the other mfgs. and not one of them has the same rod in 1" incrment difference. I mentioned it to daiwa customer service and they too were dumbfounded by the idiocy of this. To be silent is to approve of.Hogsticker2 wrote:http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Ci ... CIECC.html

Re: Daiwa Tatula
Looking at the website and I see no mention of technique specific other than the 7-4 Frog Rod and the 7-6 flipping stick. No spinnerbait mentioned or cranking-----what am I missing....We are talking about the tatula... not the L&T.Hogsticker2 wrote:http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Ci ... CIECC.html

Re: Daiwa Tatula
Thank you! I really would like to know what the point of this decision was because the way i see it, this is a waste of production costs for Daiwa and just a poor business decisionE73Bass wrote:To be silent is to approve of.
