Dobyns?
Anyone heard anything about new items from Dobyns? It's been a long time since they've come out with anything new.
Re: Dobyns?
There was a video on youtube where Gary mentioned a couple new sticks coming. DX746 & 806CB.

Re: Dobyns?
TT Facebook post mentioned Dobyns has 2 new lines coming. I'm really looking forward to that article(more so the actual rods materializing). I think it's going on 2 years since we first heard about a new TOTL rod coming...

The one thing I can tell you is the Zayta is coming! It is going to have a hefty price tag but make the DX look like a Savvy. G. Dobyn's himself came onto another site and told us we could expect them around November. This is exactly what he told us and I called Richard to confirm.
"I have been working on this 3M rod for a while. I thought the first rods were excellent and even passed them to a few staffers to play with. I'm now on my 5th action revision and they're perfect ( I believe ). I'm now making a cleaner cosmetic look. The trend is shifting and I don't want to make a mistake. I'm a big fan of longer rods, with this new material I can make some awesome rods with length. They are very light...but balanced and strong. I'm starting with 10 models ranging from 7'1" to 7'9" in both spinning and casting. I just finished making a bunch of cosmetic changes 3 weeks ago and don't have a cosmetically right finished sample. I do not have pricing yet but it scares me I have lots of options for knocking the price down a bit....but I want this rod to be totally BAD A$$.
Sorry I can't be of more help. I don't have pricing yet but they will be up there. I don't expect stock before Oct-Nov. I will be able to post pics here and provide pricing in next 30 days or so. THX guys!!"

Re: Dobyns?
I had heard that the zeyta was gonna come in spinning and casting 7'0 and 7'6 in all the powers. All black in color and around a 600$ price tag. That was from an employee at a tackle shop who demo'd them and said that shop was becomming a dobyns dealer.

Re: Dobyns?
I am not going to get my hopes up for a new rod until I see it advertised. Call me a pessimist, but we've been waiting a long time for the Zayta.
