Any new info on the new Loomis IMX?
Any new info on the new Loomis IMX?
Anyone hear or see anything else on the new IMX's? Curious what models will be introduced and what the specs are.

Too bad Bantam don't like to let the cat out of the bag.

Some specs
1. Blanks are much as 15% lighter and noticeably stronger than the original
2. New ergonomic handle designs provide better comfort, sure grip, balance and unique new look
3. New technology allows us to create action - specific tapers, better balance & increased sensitivity
4. Unique guide train - featuring Fuji K-frames - to help reduce tangles with braided lines

The steelhead model appears to be very durable.
Supposed to be 27 new models.

Re: Any new info on the new Loomis IMX?
in my bassmaster mag that came today it had an add for them had the specs as listed above in the thread about being 15% lighter and all, but at the bottom it said
jwr, spinnerbait, jerkbait, ect.. it left me confused if that was just a loomis ad for the other rods, or are they going to have tech specific imx rods coming out?

Yeah that was hard to watch.

Nerve racking!

Holy crap!!!! That was an amazing video. I wouldn't do that with an ugly stick for crying out loud. I will be buying IMX's if that is the durability they can have, especially if the price point is lower than GLX (which it has to be right?).
Unless someone on here tells me a GLX or NRX would fare the same? Wow.

This specific salmon rod will load much deeper and withstand high-sticking MUCH differently than most of the IMX bass line-up.karirick wrote:Holy crap!!!! That was an amazing video. BTW...since when did GLoomis ever need "tech specs" for their IMX line-up?

I understand that these rods need to flex more to protect lighter line used for this kind of fishing but i feel like i would have to be levering the front grip over the gunnel while the fish swam under the boat to the other side to get even close to there.
Trying to high stick that far would throw out my back even if i could hold the rod.
