Well, here you go, new Skeet Reese Carbon Pro rod:
Looks kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

Different is what I like to see, even if it doesn't work…it can lead to new ideas from other people…on that note, I'd have a bit more faith in this if Fuji's R&D team was behind it.

Im curious if that is intended to act as a trigger. My guess is that it is an extended hook hanger but I could be wrong.

I dont know guys. This might actually work if the rear trigger falls behind the pinky and the top hook hanger trigger doesn't interfere with any other fingers when the hand is wrapped around the reel.

It's an additional trigger. It is supposed to "add stability when flipping" or some such nonsense.wiscobassin wrote:Im curious if that is intended to act as a trigger. My guess is that it is an extended hook hanger but I could be wrong.

I can see placing your pointer finger on the trigger in front, but I could see that causing some serious cramping. I think it would only be useful as a hook keeper.
Re: Does anybody want MORE triggers on a casting rod?
After playing around with how I hold the reel seat on my Dobyns, I could see how this would be comfortable to hold but I would think you are really reducing the amount of people who would use this because your hand would almost have to be the perfect size for the rod.
Nice to see innovation though even if it doesn't lead to a success.

I don't see the need and it would be difficult to space the triggers for everyone's comfort on a production rod.

With how I hold a rod when flipping and pitching I can see the concept behind the idea. I think it would get in the way more than anything though.

It would be a nuisance for me.

I don't really like even the one so I would rather not have two!
Re: Does anybody want MORE triggers on a casting rod?
Looks like some kind of hook hanger. Probably to get the hooks further away from the blank. Or maybe it's for you forefinger if you rest it behind the reel instead of just under the line or reel hood.
