I take it that you are refering to the Strke King 10XD crankbait? You fish it on spinning tackle? You must be using an offshore rod and a 6000 size reel.
Nope, the 7' CB rod from Phenix. They come as spin and casting rods
Which one? The M powered one? That has to be brutal.

For me, my biggest regretful purchases occurred when I felt that I had overpayed for an inferior product.
The T3 reel comes to mind, and for rods a few of the Dawia Steez rods felt dead in my hands.
I also feel that some of the Megabass rods are not worth the price IMO.

-trying a reel other than shimano or daiwa, though lews aren't too shabby
-my house, builder was a shill
-my boat, it was a POS
-casting too close to that underwater vent thing the other day when I hung up my favorite/trusty crankbait
-losing two 7+ lb bass in 10 mins because I didn't realize at the time I actually did have a trailer hook for my spinnerbait in the bag

Great to see the varying experiences of users on TT.
I also 'regret' my first T3 purchase(full JDM retail).
Now the T3 is my favorite platform, just can't stop adding new members

For rods, my most disappointing purchase was a first generation Dobyns 704C. Everyone using them raved about the balance and the unbelievable sensitivity. In my hands, I saw nothing to distinguish them from the any other brand, especially at the price point.

Bought a Seeker Bushido 6'10" M, turned out to be a real buggy whip. It was on sale, but still....ugh.
