I used the 7'2mh with 1/4 and 3/8 trig and it was awesome. Skipping and flipping all day and it's a nice stick. For skipping the 6'10mh might be better. Lots of power and very accurate blank, winner in my books!!

Is 3/8 the top end for weight that you'd pitch/skip with the mh?

No. I would go up to 9/16Oz in cover personally but open water dragging a 3/4oz fb no problems.

Would you say it's closer to a Gloomis 854 or 853? Or 843 and 844?

Do you have experience with the 6'10" MH? Would you know if the action is considered fast or extra-fast? For me MH-Fast is for weightless senkos, plastics, and MH-XF is for weighted jigs and t-rigs.

Or in your experience with the 7'2" MH, is it fast or x-fast? I guess I like a little stiffer rod with x-fast taper if I'm moving weighted baits on bottom.

I haven't used the 6'10" mh, only the 7'2" mh but the actions are similar. Very versatile stick, i've used it for T-Rig, senkos, chatterbaits, and spinnerbaits.

What about the actions? Would you say Fast or Extra Fast? Since Zodias is JDM, I'm going to assume it's more of a Fast action than X-Fast.

Yea. It's a fast action which is very versatile.

Just ordered the 7' medium spinning rod. Can't wait to pair it up with the CI4+ I already have. This thing is going to be a work horse for me. I think I'm going to reline my reel. Right now it has 8 lb powerpro on it. Is there any line you would recommend to check out?

Used it yesterday for its intended purpose for the first time. Awesome frog rod for all but pure slop mats. A little hesitant to really set at first because it feels so light, but it was up to the task. Perfect blend of softness for walking and hookset delay and backbone to move fish. Only issue is ci4 reel seat is slick in the rain.
