Lol. I was thinking the same thing though after thinking about it a bit I realized a lot of the industry conventions and catch phrases that they use internally in both Edge and G.Loomis are the same or similar probably because Gary Loomis founded both companies.

How do all of you Loomis fans think about such an affordable option for a high end manufacturer? I know Megabass fans are divided with the introduction of the LV.

i guess i don't see the E6Xs as g.loomis' first foray into a more affordable rod. their GL2 series has been sitting in the $190-$220 price point for a long time now.

Yep, Loomis has always had an entry level graphite. IM6 and GL2 come to mind...

I think these products are essential if a company is going to have high end offerings. I can't imagine shimano and daiwa lasting long if the only made the Stella, Antares and steez lines of reel. Likewise if Loomis only had glx and nrx. I think the entry level options are what allow us to enjoy the good stuff!

I still fish an old GL3 rod. Where would it fit in today's Loomis product line?
