I just received a call from The Hook Up Tackle. They received my trade-in rods this morning, had my credit calculated (which was exactly what I though it would be), and my new NRX is on its way. Seamless!

BUMP

I just found this and had a few question myself.

What if I send in two rods for one NRX?

Also does it matter what shimano rods I send in? what if there really cheap shimano rods?

IF you send in one Rod you will get 75% off of the original value but since you said your sending 2 rods in then you will receive 60% off original value. I would also recommend getting a pre paid fedex label from them and that's cost 20.00 a lot cheaper then if you were to ship the Rod yourself. I traded in three rods and I ended up paying 67.00 for a brand new 894 nrx :big grin:

just a slight correction...you get 75% and 60% OF the original MSRP respectively, not 75% and 60% OFF.

Does anybody know what the original retail price on a Daiwa Cielo 6'6 MH spinning rod was? It sounds like The Hook Up Tackle would take 75% off the original retail, correct?

Does anyone know if they email shipping label to send trade in rods from Canada as well?

The NRX is intriguing and I've been strongly considering trading my x7 extreme mission, but don't know if it would be an upgrade. I'm guessing the 893 would be the most comparable. I've asked this before, but can someone give me an opinion on which of these two rods they'd rather have?

I just received an 852c yesterday. I traded a MB X4 Super Mirage. Now if the ice would just melt, I could give it a try.
