G Loomis NRX 843C MBR or St. Croix Legend Xtreme LXC70MHF

Post by João Miguel Oliveira » Sun May 17, 2015 5:47 am

Hi everyone.

I want to buy a new Jig/Worm rod and I don't know which one of those two rods is the best. I have a spinning Legend Extreme rod but never fished a NRX.
Can you help me?

Thank you

I've never fished the Legend Xtreme, but the NRX rods are truly awesome Jig/Worm rods. So light, and so sensitive. I doubt you would be disappointed with an NRX.

I can offer this, I own the older St.Croix Extreme XC70MHF, it is the one with a split grip cork handle and recoil guides. I also own the NRX 853C JWR. These are both nice rods and I don't regret the purchase of either. If sensitivity is your primary concern I can say that in my hands the NRX out performs the Extreme.

To me the exposed threads on the reel seat is a deal breaker for me.. If they would have only shortened them. Because of that I would go NRX. Like the one said you cant go wrong with either.
