G Loomis 803c GLX vs NRX

Could some compare the above? I want to get one for soft plastic and don't like NRX recoils and reel seat.
Wondering how much GLX below in sensitivity department and weight\balance difference?

I don't own the new model GLX so I can only comment on the original BCR 803 GLX vs the NRX 803c. Between the rods I own, I feel the GLX is just as sensitive. In fact, the BCR803 GLX is one of my favorite all time rods.

While I love both rods, in my hands I don't detect any difference. What I detect is a faster action on the BCR. It may indeed be that the faster action itself in the BCR is offsetting any gain the NRX graphite might have. The BCR803 GLX was well known as one of the most sensitive of the BCR sticks and just had "it".

To the original post, I don't see any reason the GLX graphite itself would have changed but I've never heard anyone say the new GLX 803c was as fast as the old BCR. If you ask me if GLX is still great product, I'd say yes. If for some reasons the reel seat and guides on the NRX don't appeal then the GLX is still very nice.

I have used the BRC 803 GLX for a few years. Love the rod to death. I use mine for Jerkbaits. I've been searching for the perfect Jerkbait rod for a few years and this may be it. I cant speak for the sensitivity of the 803 NRX's, but I do have 3 over 7' long. I am not a pro by any means, but I can feel a definite increase in sensitivity over my 803. Its nothing that would cause me to toss the 803 in the trash, but it is noticeable.

Its been awhile since I have used the new split GLX's, but isn't the reel seat the same or close to the same as the NRX's?

I've used both rods... the NRX is lighter, and therefore... will always seem more sensitive IMO. The blank isn't clear coated, too I feel that makes a difference.

The real seat and handle are a bit different on GLX, SIC guides are also one of the main reasons I am considering GLX as well.

If you don't like recoils then you probably are not going to be into the bcr glx rods mentioned, since they have them as well. I like the bcr glx rods and sorta feel like the nrx line could have been the new glx line taking over for the bcr . The new glx I just don't like. To me a step backwards. Maybe it could have been the new imx line. The new line of rods "nrx" to generate interest and money. The new glx is no more crisp or sensitive than say the red cumara in my hands. The balance on the new glx is ok but , l just didn't like the rod. Could of also been the pricepoint for the new glx as well. Little high for that rod, bit of a turn off as well. I bought 4 nrx rods this year and really like all but my 894c, and thats just because I fish the great lakes mainly with allot of open water and don't really have a kneed for it.

I'm down on Okeechobee this week and have two of those 894's on the deck. Killer rods if want to fish senko's and lighter trigs around vegetation. I can see where it could be overkill in clear open water. I'm able to detect bites on the 894 I think I would miss on most other rods.

I have a 803 NRX spinning rod and its amazing sensitive, atleast compared to my 7' GLX spinning rod.

I use my NRX 803 for smaller plastics. Most often a shaky head worm. Finesse jigs are great on this rod as well. I've not done it much but because the NRX has a more moderate taper it can be used for spinnerbaits and jerkbaits.
