Digitaka rod shipping expense
Never ordered form these folks. Web site states 1 piece rods ship for 3,000 yen (25 bucks). Is this accurate, and can I assume I won't have to bend over and grab my ankles after I click submit?
Re: Digitaka rod shipping expense
Yup they are very good with their shipping cost.
Re: Digitaka rod shipping expense
You are safe. Those guys are great.
Re: Digitaka rod shipping expense
Yes 3000 JPY is accurate. Digitaka is excellent to deal with!
Re: Digitaka rod shipping expense
This is an unbelievable price!
Try to ship 1 piece rod opposite direction. You will be amazed how expensive international shipping from US!

Re: Digitaka rod shipping expense
Thanks guys. I just find it a bit odd shipping for both a 1 piece and 2 piece are 25 bucks, but if you say it's all good I believe you.
Re: Digitaka rod shipping expense
They do a nice job packaging and protecting rods as well.
Re: Digitaka rod shipping expense
Well I'm sure they get a discount through which ever carrier they use to be able to ship it at that price. As for the rest of us shipping a rod international it's over $100.

You're not gonna get free shipping on a 1-piece rod from Japan unless you get it on eBay (and usually shipping is baked in the price).
$25 is decent, not great but not terrible either.

I don't recall asking for free shipping. Perfectly content paying 25 dollars. 1 piece shipping usually runs in the neighborhood of 60 bucks, thus the reason for my original question.saoulons wrote:You're not gonna get free shipping on a 1-piece rod from Japan unless you get it on eBay (and usually shipping is baked in the price).

Ok, I thought from your original post that you were insinuating that you were getting ripped off by accepting this shipping cost; I must have misread (wouldn't be the first time and certainly won't be the last ).
No biggie, we both agree that $25 is a decent price.

$25 is a great price IMHO. BassJP is 10,000yen, around $85 for 1 rod or 2.saoulons wrote:Ok, I thought from your original post that you were insinuating that you were getting ripped off by accepting this shipping cost; I must have misread (wouldn't be the first time and certainly won't be the last ).

Yeah, I decided to go the custom route again. Nothing beats a custom imo. Sometimes I get drawn into the glam and bling of many JDM rods, but I eventually shake it off . Not really in the mood to roll the dice with customs fees either. Thanks for the responses fellas. Digitaka or anyone for that matter never seem to have but a few of the Daiwa Black Label rods in stock, and that's what I was after.John G wrote:$25 is a great price IMHO.
