I am using the XL model… I might actually buy another one and try the L model as well cause I like the rod and for the price it can't be beat.

I agree. I have the XL and ML (7') model... If I did not have to pay for shipping to EU and tax/customs I would buy the whole lot... Great rods.

I'm curious how the xl would handle a 3" senko.
Has anyone tried?

Loads nicely with a 3 inch. I've taken this rod down to 1/32oz and it will cast em. I did a review on this rod in the rods section.

Sweet.
Even though it's probably to heavy to be true bfs, the 3" senko and 4" cut tails catch me fish everywhere. So if that xl can really dig those size 1 ewg Gammys, I'll definitely convince myself to get one lol.

Would you guys go with the XL or L for 1-16-1/8 oz moving baits, 2" tubes, and grubs?
And is this a true moderate, or are they more mod fast?

Zodiac, if you're targeting 1/16 through 1/8 I'd go with the UL since that would be in the sweet spot. I don't have experience with the rod in question, so take it with a grain of salt, just have experience with the Jackson BFS rods \:D/ . Just wanted to ask those that have them how the reel seat feels to those that prefer the ECS.

I would go with the L for what you are looking for. I have both the XL and ML versions of this rod and I say that they are true moderate. I wish they made them in a mod fast but the rod does really well with the light stuff. BTW I have two setups that I would like to post but I am having trouble posting the pics. Can someone please help me with posting pics?

Thanks, I would love to help you, but Lord knows I have never figured out how to post on here. And I don't want to open an online album account, especially when we don't have to do that junk on BBC.
