Hi dear TT community!
My Name is Dennis I'm 25, from Germany and that's my first post. I've been reading for quite a while silently though.
Since a couple of weeks the Zodias rods are finally available in Germany - a great thing as its seems like Shimano Europe is slowly extending the portfolio towards JDM/USDM products which atm is super tiny here.
I just removed my Chronarch Ci4+ from my new Zodias 172H and noticed this:
the locknut has bent and deformed the foot of the reel. Looking into the locknut I can see a mark, but no dent or deformation.
Marked both spots in the pictures attached.
If that's a general design issue with the Zodias I wonder why I haven't read about this before. So what's the matter here?
Could you guys check your reels for marks?
Also I have the feeling this Ci4+ is a super soft material. The reel has several little dents from falling where the plastic is pushed outwards at the side of the dent - so pretty malleable.
Zodias locknut problem

Re: Zodias locknut problem
I have to say I'm a little surprised to see that reel foot can dent like that.
