Rod Suggestion for ChMg100
I need a rod for this reel, preferably split grip and high end, what would you suggest?
Re: Rod Suggestion for ChMg100
All purpose: NRX 843 MBR. Love that rod!
Jigs and plastics: NRX 853 JWR
Maybe a Daiwa Steez Flanker! always wanted to try that rod.

Frosty: I own the Flanker, I would recommend that rod 100% no hesitations whatsoever!
jpd0144: Those sound nice, I will look into them!

One of my favorite reels of all time. I still have one mint and one BNIB that I will keep in my display case!
The NRXs are certainly nice but, depending on you intended applications, you might also consider an X7 (or other) from Megabass. I have the X7 Extreme Mission that would pair nicely with the Chronarch Mg.
And you can't beat the classic Loomis mbr 843/844GLX. Great all around rods for a great all around reel.
Finally, you might consider the Shimqno/Poison Adrena rods. That would be sweet (unless you could get an Ultima which would be even better!!!)

I know you listed split grip ... I'm being selfish.
When the 100mg and the old school MBR GLX's were around I didn't have the funds for either.
Now every time I seen a clean copy of this reel I just see it a top that rod. They seem like they were made for one another in my opinion.
Good luck with your search and post back with your pairing please ...

Awesome! It's a rare rod around the US. Nice to hear good things. I'll try one eventuallytriple_illusion wrote:Frosty: I own the Flanker, I would recommend that rod 100% no hesitations whatsoever!
