MajorCraft Rod finally here?

Post by Isaiah20 » Sat Nov 12, 2016 9:13 pm

I was browsing the web looking for a new pike rod as mine is an old Lightning Rod Hank Parker that I have had since I was 13 or 14, about 15 years. I went to the Major Craft America site to look the Nanoace specs, and was pleasantly surprised to see the Corzza, MS-X, and Speedstyle listed on the site. After seeing this I am more than likely going MajorCraft for my new rod.

This is great news! I just looked at the US site too. Pleased to see they even have the BFS casting models listed. =D>

Right on, that is what I am going to be looking for this spring. The SS Air you sold me needs a new rod, I think? :-k

Not too familiar with this manufacturer. How do their rods compare to the other "big boys" (G. Loomis, Megabass, St. Croix, etc.)

Looks promising. BFS models are limited or Corzza, MS-X and Speedstyle. No Volkey or Benkei as of yet.

Can't speak for the Benkei but the Volkey has been replaced by the Speedstyle.

Major Craft inshore rods are sleepers for bass fishing. I have a N One NSL-S702UL/BF paired with a yellow Pixilla and DIY spool, and am launching micro jerk baits with ease. It would be nice if those were coming over as well.

I was using a Daiwa SC shiner 3/32 oz

Website says the rod can handle up to 5 grams, but I think that would be to much for the rod tip.

I'm a big fan of the Benkei series. They are pretty to look at and deadly to fish. Corzza is no slouch either.
