One rod to crank them all...

Leave out heavy cover squarebills and anything over 15ft of water. What's your choice of rod that is going to load, cast, and crank the widest range of baits with the most effectiveness. Looking to replace my last KVD crankin rod, the 7'4" M, which has served me well and always impressed me with the lower limit of baits it loads on, as well as handling up to 5XD type cranks when pushed. It's really showing wear and yeah, Quantum. I've replaced the rest of the stable with a Zodias Glass for deep cranks and a Tatula XT Glass for Squarebills, this will be my all around open water cranker for smallmouth mostly. Around 7.5 ft and medium power is probably where I'd like to end up.

Dobyns 705cb glass

Can't go wrong with a Dobyns CB rod, depending on length you like, anything in 4 or 5 power should work fine.

Expride 7 foot M has worked great for me for wiggle wart / middle N types.

Expride 7'2" MH for squarebills.

Another vote for the Dobyns 705CB Glass, but also want to throw in the 764CB Randy McAbee

X2 on the dobyns 764cb (or 765cb), would be just about perfect if you want a longer rod similar to your 7'4.

So for the guys that have fished both, can you give me a rundown of a 705 vs a 736. I really like the extra length but the 705 appears more popular.
