Re: Steex XT rods
I have the 7'M Steez XT and it is my go to rod for pop r's small jerkbaits and it is awesome for underspins. I always have that rod on the boat.
Re: Steex XT rods
I've got the 7'm, 7'mh and 7'2"mh.
Haven't handled the spinning rods yet..
Only had them out on a couple trips but I'm happy with them so far.
Light, sensitive, build quality is spot on. Love the reel seats too.
Which one are you looking to acquire?

I was looking at the 7'-00 mhfb
don't really know if they are much different than the Tatula Elite rods other than the warranty

have their swimbait stick. Used it for heavy current stripers..did ok but could use fore grip.
For it's intended purpose it's feather light and plenty powerful. Nice soft action and loads up very well.
Love the dual tapered rear grip. Great for pit tucking

i've wondered about these rods, but you don't seem to hear much. at one time, i had the regular steez 7' mh and the compile-x 7'1, and loved the rods. i had to sell everything that had value a few years ago, and am just now back to fishing. folks seem to talk about the lack of sensitivity with the steez rods, but i never thought they weren't sensitive.

I'm thinking the Zillion rods maybe a better deal than the Steez XT rods since the Zillions have SIC guides and the XT doesn't. Both are SVF rods and the handles don't matter that much to me.
I have the Tatula Elites rods and really like them and the sensitivity is as good as any other rod I have used

Re: Steex XT rods
before i got the compile-x a few years ago, i had the 1st gen zillion 7'mh & the steez 7' mh at the same time. the zillion was an xfast action, and that was the 1 thing i didn't like about it, although i loved the reel seat. i haven't messed with the newer zillions, they may be a tad slower than the previous models.jwfflipper14 wrote:I'm thinking the Zillion rods maybe a better deal than the Steez XT rods since the Zillions have SIC guides and the XT doesn't. i prefer for the rod to load a little more for casting. i got a couple of the 13 envy's a couple of months ago (7'1 mh & 7'1 h) and finally got to use them yesterday. i didn't make it thru the day with the h power rod, i switched the mh over to a jig rod, and a 6'10 m omen i got this past week over to t-rig plastics. i much prefer the action of the omen to the envy, although the envy is more sensitive. i told myself to never buy an xfast rod again
