I heard Dobyns will be launching an Ultra High End Series sometime around February 2018. Has anyone heard or know anything about this? If so, please share some details. Thanks.

Senator.......... I can neither confirm nor deny that such a product exists or will exist as far as I know at this moment.

On a side note does anyone think the Champion rods will get an update in the near future? The blanks have stayed the same since they came out with the Gen 2 models and only the guides changed in the XP update. They have added a couple of models here and there also. In the last couple of years the Extreme line was updated and the Fury line released. The Sierra line was also released but I personally do not know what they are doing with it since it's questionable whether it replaces the Savvy line. The Colt series is also coming out on the low end.

I wouldn't think so at this point. The Champion line is the flagship series. I'm sure that's why it's seen the greatest expansion to the number of models in that series. Dobyns has the actions and balance points dialed. If it isn't broke...don't fix it.

No question that the Sierra line replaced the Savvy. It (Sierra series) is positioned right below the Champion. Sierra is a nice upgrade compared to the Savvy IMO.

Initially, there were still some stock on certain Savvy models, especially Savvy Micro, that needed to be sold through when Sierra was first introduced.

What is the price point going to be?

no mention of them when i spoke to the rep today.

It was printed in Dobyn's own newsletter, release around Feb 2018, so if it is just a rumor its coming straight from the top.
