G Loomis IMX MBR783C for LC Pointer 100s?

Hey guys, was wondering if this rod would work well with LC Pointer 100s? I know the rod will throw it, but is it a good idea?

I think it'll work fine. Is it what I would use? No. I prefer a glass rod to throw my Pointer 100s, but that's my preference. There are a lot...and I mean a lot of people that will use a 6'6" medium-heavy fast action stick for throwing ripbaits. I know a lot of guys on the Delta that do it, and they also use braid too. I've tried it, but again, personal preference is using a glass rod.

A lot of the major reasons for using a rod like the 783 is that you have more feel and you can rip it through some of the sparse weeds a lot easier.

should be fine. I fish the 78 pointer on an older model imx 782 and it is perfect in my hand. If I go to the 100, I pick up a Steez 6'3mh which fishes like the 782 with more power.

I prefer mh rods for 100 sized jerkbaits because I found I can get more aggressive action out of the baits compared to m powered rods. Used a e6x 783mbr in the past and kind of wished I kept it

Thanks for the input guys, I thought about getting a dedicated jerkbait rod, but I think I'll try using my 783c first. Usually when the weather gets cold, I don't fish much, but this winter I'm going to get out there and throw the jerkbait around, so that's why I asked the question.
